Time Was Lost, It’s Not Your Fault
Pigma ink on paper, 9″ h x 5″ w
This piece was inspired by the Fluxus movement in art and the conceptual work of Yoko Ono. My intent is to explore people’s pretentious inclinations, how their ego is tied to being all-knowing —and how much time we waste in society pretending to be something we are not. The characters spell out a phrase in American Sign Language. The longer it takes the viewer to translate, the more it makes sense.
