Amoebas are single-celled parasites without a unique shape that are capable of altering their appearance by extending and retracting pseudopods. Pseudopod can be literally translated as “false vessel.” This piece was inspired by some girls in my biology class. This is part of a series that explores how people choose to mask their insecurities with a decorative facade to hide what is really going on inside. This artwork is currently in production for surface design on textiles, note cards, and journal covers.
